Business Objectives
IDC proposes that the study be carried out as a two-part
assessment with the following business objectives
respectively:
Part I: From secondary sources, existing IDC
knowledgebase and survey of nodal IT agencies
The Most Efficient IT Spending States, IT Spend Plans
of 18 Major State Governments
- The most efficient or highest-impact IT spender
states (per capita availability or usage of ICT
infrastructure and resources)
- The Top 18 IT Spender State Governments in 2005-06
and 2006-07 by ‘intention to invest’ (budgetary
approvals/actual purchases) in proposed/ongoing IT and
e-Governance projects
Part II: Based on a primary survey of
constituents across user categories in different states
Effectiveness of e-Governance Programmes
- Effectiveness of IT in Government in 18 major states
of India covering the key aspects of Citizen services,
Business services, Government: Citizen interface,
Government: Business interface etc.
